A new trailer highlights much of the content of Season 5 including showing off the newly-opened stadium that many have been anticipating for a long time. The trailer for Season 5 gives fans a taste of the various new weapons hitting Call of Duty including showing off new blueprints, weapon charms and even little previews of how each weapon fires.

The new weapons in the Season 5 battle pass are the ISO Submachine Gun which is unlocked free at tier 15, and the AN-94, which has a “hyperburst feature” and is unlocked free at tier 31. Both guns seem to have very impressive specs and with the new weapon inspect feature, players can look at all the attachments, skins and charms while in-game. The inspect feature comes at the perfect time, as so many cosmetic weapon items are being added for Season 5.
It is almost overwhelming how much content is shown off for Season 5. Various bug fixes and gun balances will help the game substantially, but new equipment and a new feature to the Warzone map may be the drastic game changers. The new equipment, exterior ascenders, will enable players to gain access to tall buildings and will help strategically against campers. The Warzone map has changed substantially, with the stadium opening up and the train station interior becoming accessible. However, perhaps the biggest addition to the map is the moving train.
Much like Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Warzone has added a moving train to the battle royale mode. A train has been requested by fans since Apex Legends introduced the train to the second map released. A moving train changes gameplay by letting players navigate the map much faster and using the train’s route strategically to move to a good position or to escape a situation quickly.
It will be interesting to see how all of these changes and additions affect gameplay. Based on the sheer amount of exciting content, the season is off to a great start. Apart from weapons, equipment and map changes, players also have access to new game modes including adding Verdansk International Airport to Ground War, Search and Destroy Double Down and a new “mini-royale” for Warzone. Players will have even more places to try out new weapons and cosmetics found in the new Season 5 battle pass.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
