On Reddit, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare player Damo240sx revealed their reward for completing the Battle Pass in the game: an animated emblem. The emblem mimics the design of the Battle Pass for Season 1, which depicts a Grim Reaper-looking character lifting a sword into the air. But unlock most emblems, this Battle Pass reward has an animated element that features a flashing background and the Grim Reaper thrusting the sword into the air.

When word of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Battle Pass first started appearing online players were curious about what types of rewards that Infinity Ward might offer. Given the way the Call of Duty franchise has been leaning, most assumed that gun camos and operators would be part of the pack and a datamine confirmed those suspicions.

That same datamine eventually revealed the full 100 ranks for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Battle Pass, including what the last reward would be. However, the datamine never revealed anything about an emblem – a surprise that the developers were seemingly saving for players that hit the milestone on their own.

Without a Prestige system in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, this animated emblem serves as a type of banner for players to let others know that they are a dedicated member of the multiplayer community. The emblem itself is unique enough to the game that it should stand out and other players should take notice. Whether or not that notoriety is worth grinding out 100 ranks in the Battle Pass, however, is up for debate.

Of course, for many players, the possibility of reaching rank 100 is impossible given the problems with the XP bug in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The bug first started appearing earlier this week and had become widespread enough that Infinity Ward came out to confirm it was investigating the issue. Still, missing out on XP during matches or having rank reset completely is a big problem, so hopefully, it can get fixed soon now that players know the rewards they are after.
