After downloading Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Update 1.13, fans will notice some changes to the Piccadilly map. The Piccadilly map is notable for its large screens, and after the update, fans have noticed that some of them have started glitching out. Before the screens return to their normal programming, they briefly show what appears to be a painted skull symbol, not unlike the one associated with Simon “Ghost” Riley from Modern Warfare 2. Images of this skull have been reported on screens in other maps as well, including Tavorsk District.

Understandably, this has led to speculation that Ghost is coming to Modern Warfare 2 as a playable Operator. If so, it seems like the most likely scenario is that Ghost will be added to Modern Warfare with the Season Two update, which is set to release at some point in February.

If Ghost does come to Modern Warfare with the Season Two update and Battle Pass, it’s possible that the next season will have a general MW2 theme. After all, Modern Warfare Season One added Call of Duty 4 maps to the game, so it wouldn’t be out of the question for Season Two to add MW2 maps. In fact, Modern Warfare 2 map remakes have been rumored for Modern Warfare since before the game’s release.

More specifically, evidence has been found through datamining efforts that point to Modern Warfare getting popular MW2 maps like Rust and Terminal. A multitude of other classic Call of Duty maps have also been found in these datamining efforts, though, and it’s also quite likely that Infinity Ward will be releasing brand new maps as well.

Some fans may prefer the classic Call of Duty maps to the new ones, however. Many of Modern Warfare’s new maps have been met with criticism, with the exception being the small-scale Shoot House map. Maybe Infinity Ward can redeem itself with new maps ideas in Season Two, but fans will have to wait to find out for sure.
