The new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update adds regular Gunfight back to the mix, along with Gunfight 3v3 - Knives Only, which replaces the snipers only variant that has been in the game for the past couple of weeks. Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players can also check out the Deathmatch Domination and Drop Zone game modes, in addition to two 24/7 playlists based on the game’s two most popular maps. Shoot House 24/7 and Shipment 24/7 are both back in Modern Warfare as of the latest update.

Meanwhile, Infinity Ward has also changed up the Call of Duty: Warzone playlists with the latest update. For the most part, the Warzone playlists are staying the same, except Plunder Quads has been removed and has been replaced by Plunder: Blood Money Trios. Some fans prefer the pure version of Plunder as opposed to the Blood Money variant, so it will be interesting to see how the community reacts to this playlist change.

Call of Duty fans have even more to look forward to this coming weekend, with Juggernaut Royale returning to Warzone. Infinity Ward has also confirmed that this weekend will be Double XP, Double Weapon XP, and Double Tier Progression, giving Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone players perhaps their best chance yet at completing the Season 4 Battle Pass.

Call of Duty fans that want to complete the Season 4 Battle Pass should note that they are running out of time to do so. The Season 4 Battle Pass ends next Tuesday, August 4, and will soon be replaced by Season 5, expected to kick off on Wednesday, August 5. Infinity Ward has yet to reveal exactly what Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 5 has in store, but more information should come next week.

While nothing official about Modern Warfare or Warzone Season 5 has been announced, there have been some leaks, rumors, and teases as to what fans can expect. One of the prevailing theories is that Warzone Season 5 will open up Stadium and add moving trains to the map, whereas Modern Warfare may be adding a new Gunfight map called Cornfield. Again, fans can expect more details next week.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
