Now that Season 5 is officially in rotation, players are peering down the line at future features. There is not much known about the upcoming LMG with some players doubting its category completely and betting on a new AR. With two new Season 5 weapons on launch week, players can only wait and see what this mysterious LMG has in store later on.

The leaked video comes from reliable Modern Warfare leaker BKTOOR. The weapon appears in the video untextured and functional, clearly at the end of the developmental track. From the appearance alone, fans can tell that it is a belt-fed LMG that looks similar to the Warzone favorite Bruen Mk9. The reload animation takes only a few seconds giving it a massive boost compared to other belt-fed weapons. There is no information about how the gun will perform or the damage that fans can expect from the weapon. Right now, the videos are closest fans have to any discernable answers regarding the Sierra X LMG.

Despite the lack of hard evidence, the videos do a great job showing off the weapon. Players can get a good guess at the recoil along with a look into some of the finer details. The reload animation feels realistic, giving hope that this weapon will perform in the same style as other LMGs.

Although this LMG was leaked early and teased at Modern Warfare Season 5’s launch, there is no confirmation as to its release date. Most fans are expecting the weapon to be added during the mid-season update similar to what happened in both Season 3 and Season 4. That would mean that if everything is on track, fans can expect the gun’s confirmed release date at the end of August.

A new LMG will be a welcomed addition to Modern Warfare’s arsenal. After the appearance of new Assualt Rifles, SMGs, and Sniper Rifles in Modern Warfare, players were starting to wonder when another LMG would be making a Season appearance. The only thing left for this budding LMG to reveal is the unique feature that will make it stand out compared to the other weapons in its category.
