Call of Duty: Modern Warfare player Dinjur uploaded a clip of the glitch in action to Reddit. There are multiple facets to the glitch, but it all stems from equipping slug rounds with the Model 680. After doing so, players will notice that their character will only reload the gun one shell at a time. The second part of the glitch happens if players unload all of their ammunition in the Model 680, which will get them stuck in an endless reload animation.

This endless reload animation is where the Modern Warfare Model 680 glitch gets out of hand. While stuck in this animation, players are actually still able to shoot, both from the hip and down the sights. And due to the endless reloading that’s happening in the background, they can freely shoot the Model 680 without having to stop to reload at all. This essentially lets Modern Warfare players shoot forever and gives them infinite ammo with the Model 680, making it a rather significant exploit in the game.

Please note that the video has some NSFW language near the end.

Modern Warfare shotguns have been getting flak since the start, with many complaining about the impossibly long shots that the 725 shotgun was able to do in the game’s early days. Infinity Ward has worked hard to better balance shotguns in Modern Warfare since then, with the most recent patch nerfing a variety of shotguns, including the Model 680, which had its range decreased.

Hopefully Infinity Ward is quick to fix this Model 680 glitch, as it will definitely cause some headaches for those playing the online multiplayer. New updates for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are released regularly, sometimes multiple times a week, so it’s likely that a fix for this Model 680 glitch will come to the game sooner rather than later.

Besides bug fixes, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players have plenty more to look forward to in the coming weeks. The Modern Warfare Season 2 road map details a variety of new content that’s coming to the first-person shooter, including new maps, game modes, weapons, and more.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
