As pointed out by Gaming Intel, the Tomogunchi bundle in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare may hint at Warzone. The description for the Tomogunchi bundle reads: “Dinosaurs, fire-breathing dragons, and an evolving watch that will have you gaming the warzone.” It’s quite possible this is just a coincidence, but it’s an odd choice of words, especially if the Modern Warfare battle royale mode is titled Warzone as previously leaked.

Whether or not this Tomogunchi bundle description is hinting at Warzone remains to be seen. However, fans reading so much into things like this is a sign of their growing impatience. Since Warzone leaked weeks ago, fans have been expecting news on it any day now, only for each rumored release date to come and pass with no sign of the mode. Many Modern Warfare fans were expecting the Warzone release date to be March 3, and when it didn’t show up in the latest update, it caused “#Warzone” to start trending on Twitter as Call of Duty enthusiasts voiced their displeasure.
Since the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Warzone release date wasn’t March 3 as some predicted, the next rumored release date is Tuesday, March 10. March 10 is the date that’s been claimed by some more credible Call of Duty leakers, and so it seems like the most likely scenario at this point in time. However, fans shouldn’t get their hopes up, as Activision still has yet to make any official announcements at the time of this writing.
It’s possible that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans will have to wait longer for Warzone to be added to the game. However, with it already implemented enough for players to be able to glitch into Warzone lobbies, it seems like a release is going to come sooner rather than later.
While we can’t say for sure when the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Warzone battle royale mode will be made available, we do know that fans have plenty more to look forward to throughout Season 2. Infinity Ward is set to release more maps, modes, weapons, and more in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
