The headlining new feature in Modern Warfare Update 1.13 is the additional of five additional loadout slots. Modern Warfare fans have been asking for more loadout slots since launch, and so they will be happy to see more finally added to the game. Fans may also be happy to learn that Aniyah Palace has been added back into the map rotation as part of the latest update, plus there’s Capture the Flag and the Shoot the Ship playlist to play as well.

Shoot the Ship, for the uninitiated, is a special playlist in Modern Warfare that features the small maps Shipment and Shoot House. Shoot the Ship is replacing Shoot House 24/7 as of Update 1.13. It doesn’t appear as though Infinity Ward replaced any of the existing playlists besides Shoot House 24/7, so Modern Warfare fans can still play 3v3 Gunfight to their heart’s content.
Another big addition in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Update 1.13 is the Crossbow weapon. Players can now unlock the Crossbow in the game, but doing so won’t be an easy task. To unlock the Crossbow in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, players have to get five kills in 25 different matches using a Marskman Rifle with a Reflex Optic. While this may not be hugely difficult for skilled players, it’s going to be time-consuming for everyone who attempts it.
Looking ahead, Modern Warfare fans have more big updates to look forward to. Modern Warfare Season One will last until February 11, and after that, it’s expected that Season Two won’t be far behind. Season Two is rumored to be adding more classic Call of Duty maps to the game along with more substantial content than these weekly updates, so it’s highly anticipated by fans.
More details on Modern Warfare Season Two will come to light in the next few weeks. In the meantime, fans of the first-person shooter can get to work unlocking the Crossbow weapon for their arsenal.
