Specifically, Shoot House 24/7 has once again returned, replacing the Shoot the Ship playlist that was added to CoD: MW just last week. While Shoot House 24/7 has proven to be a very popular playlist among fans, and many will certainly be happy to have it back, some players are expressing disappointment with the quick removal of Shoot the Ship. For the uninitiated, the Shoot the Ship playlist rotates exclusively between the Shoot House and Shipment maps, and indeed this mix is something that certain players seem unhappy to be losing.

With respect to the new game mode that was added in yesterday’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update, fans can now test their skills in Grind, a multiplayer mode that first appeared in Call of Duty: Ghosts and was also seen in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. In Grind, players drop dog tags when they are eliminated, and these tags must be collected and delivered to a rotating location in order to score points. For many players, this mode will feel very much like Kill Confirmed, but with a slight twist.
In order to make room for Grind, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Drop Zone mode has been removed after only a week of availability. This mode tasks players will taking control of a continually moving location, and while, in general, fans do not seem especially upset to see Drop Zone make an exit, some players will certainly wish to have had more time with the mode.
Finally, yesterday’s update saw CoD: MW’s Snowfight mode removed, which is not unexpected with the Christmas holiday now passed. Nothing has been added in order to fill the hole left by Snowfight’s removal, but between the return of Shoot House 24/7 and the introduction of Grind, hopefully fans will be able to keep themselves occupied until Infinity Ward issues yet another content update in the very near future.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
