Modern Warfare allows for various custom game settings, some of which provide gameplay that isn’t available in normal playlists. Apparently, one of those settings is a last-man-standing ability that is unlike anything that a core Call of Duty has implemented for its standard multiplayer. On top of that, dozens of unseen animations that point to Warzone application have been uncovered as well.

In the past, when last-man-standing is in core multiplayer, the player usually pulls out a pistol and has the ability to take a few shots before bleeding out. In the case of this discovered Modern Warfare setting, players only have their fists out, but they can swing to punch and down enemies who are nearby. Additionally, instead of simply bleeding out, theoretically, the downed player could be picked up by a teammate just like any battle royale, or like Black Out, the battle royale for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
Just like in multiplayer, where executions are used for added flair (and possibly comical failure), there are executions that are specific to downed enemies who are in last-man-standing mode. Each operator in Modern Warfare has its own execution, and the video highlights each of the brand new last-man-standing executions–and they are brutal. This is certainly exciting because not only have these executions not been seen, they point out yet more evidence that Warzone specific data is hiding in the game and just waiting to be released.
These Warzone findings have been seemingly leaked or discovered daily. So much so that Activision has taken action against some of the leakers, much to the dismay of some of the fanbase. Perhaps Activation and Infinity Ward have been attempting to keep a tight lid on Warzone information, but the longer the “classified” section of the main menu remains, the more players will wonder just what is hiding behind the curtain.
Fans may not have to wait much longer, as a prominent leaker has revealed what he believes to be the release date for the game. In the meantime, players will continue to seek out details on this exciting new battle royale, which is only proof that the hype level is high for Warzone, but also that Infinity Ward has high expectations that they are going to need to meet.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
