Fans have had some complaints about the Call of Duty: Vanguard Multiplayer mode in the short term that it’s been live, with many running into a problem where their weapon camo challenges aren’t tracking properly. Despite completing the requirements for the challenges multiple times and across multiple game modes, it seems some Call of Duty: Vanguard players simply can’t get credit for what they’re doing to unlock the camos.

Obviously, this is a frustrating bug and hopefully a fix comes sooner rather than later. Neither developer Sledgehammer Games nor publisher Activision have made any statements about this particular Call of Duty: Vanguard issue just yet, but a fix will likely come at some point. After all, this isn’t the first time that a Call of Duty game has had this issue with weapon camo challenges not tracking properly.

As some may recall, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare camo challenges didn’t track properly either, with Infinity Ward eventually having to patch the problem. It’s possible that a similar fix is in the works for Call of Duty: Vanguard, though again, specifics have not been mentioned at the time of this writing.

While it’s unclear what potential fixes will come with the first big Call of Duty: Vanguard update, fans do know what else to expect from it. A Call of Duty: Vanguard update is coming on November 17 that will add the fan favorite Call of Duty 4 map Shipment to the game. This version of Shipment will have a revamped look to match Call of Duty: Vanguard’s World War 2 theme, but it’s unclear if it will be coming with any fixes, or if fixes could potentially make their way to the game ahead of the November 17 update.

Since this has been a repeated issue in Call of Duty games in recent years, some fans may be disappointed that Call of Duty: Vanguard was unable to square it away prior to launch. On the bright side, problems like this will be ironed out by Call of Duty: Vanguard updates that Sledgehammer Games puts out over time, and the game should find itself in a much better place as time goes on.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
