However, one thing that shouyldn’t be too surprising to Call of Duty fans is more timed PlayStation exclusive content. For those picking up Call of Duty: Vanguard on PlayStation platforms, they’ll have a few additional things to look forward to. This continues the longstanding partnership between Sony and Activision which started back in 2015 with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 when in years prior, it was Xbox getting the timed exclusive content first.

Up until now, it wasn’t know what sort of content PlayStation fans would be getting access to with Call of Duty: Vanguard. With the game set to launch on November 5, Activision has finally laid its cards on the table by revealing that PlayStation Plus members will be getting a free in-game bundle to celebrate Season One of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone.Inside this bundle, players will find a new operator skin, weapon blueprint, and more. Each new season, PlayStation Plus subscribers can expect a new free bundle as well.

However, the bonuses don’t stop there. PlayStation players who pick up the Battle Pass bundle will recieve extra teir skips to help move faster through the seasonal battle pass. In addition, PlayStation players can look forward to 24 hour Monthly Double XP events, an additional two loadout slots, as well as +25% bonus weapon XP for when playing with other PlayStation players in parties.

The exclusive content definitely appears to be tamer than it has been in years past. There has been plenty of controversy over exclusive content in years pastwhich has occassionally added exclusive game modes such as Zombies Onslaught for Black Ops Cold War owners or Special Ops: Survival for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. In terms of Special Ops: Survival, Xbox and PC fans erupted with frustration, criticizing the decision as well as prompting a response from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare narrative director Taylor Kurosaki. Ultimately, the mode wasn’t the standout experience many expected, with most gravitating towards Warzone and multiplayer.

Call of Duty: Vanguard launches November 5 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
