The M13 is one such assault rifle present in the games, and it was added in Season 1 alongside the release of Warzone 2. The M13 has received some criticism in the past, but one Call of Duty fan shares data on how bad this weapon is during matches.

A Reddit user named pubgisDEAD has shared two images showcasing the time to kill of the M13 when compared to the Fennec 45 SMG in Call of Duty: Warzone 2. These graphs reveal that even if players were to hit all headshots with the M13, they will still be able to kill opponents faster by targeting body shots using the Fennec 45. The images compare the TTK at a distance of around 10-12 meters, showing that users will need 497 ms to kill another with headshots from the M13 assault rifle, while the Fennec 45 will accomplish the same with body shots in 495 ms.
It should be noted that the damage of the Fennec, and probably other SMGs, drops off harder with distance, as the M13 graph shows a consistent TTK until at least 30 meters. Still, it looks like Activision may need to improve the damage output of the M13 to bring it to par. Many gamers express their disappointment in the comments, with some claiming to have primarily used the M13 in Warzone.
A Reddit user reveals that the Fennec has an incredible headshot TTK of just 275 ms, close to half of the M13’s, and one player mentions that the original Warzone never had a similarly broken SMG. Another fan states that the M13 is also not that useful in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, although, it doesn’t appear to be universally hated. Some Call of Duty fans mention that they enjoy using the M13 at mid to long ranges, and one claims that any gun will look terrible when compared to the Fennec.
Players interested in using the M13 should note that it needs to be unlocked via the new DMZ game mode in Warzone 2. The full process can be challenging, as users are required to eliminate an AI enemy known as The Chemist in Warzone 2, loot the gun from the body, and safely extract it to finally unlock the weapon.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
