Upon downloading the next Call of Duty: Warzone update, players will be able to find the 725 shotgun, MK2 Carbine .50 GS, and EBR-14 strewn about the Warzone map. As detailed by Activision, all four of the weapons will be available in both Common and Uncommon rarities. Players will also be able to add the guns to their custom loadouts in Warzone, which they can earn by purchasing loadout drops or collecting a loadout drop on the map.

Warzone players will no doubt enjoy having new weapons to use in the game, but the 725 shotgun could prove to be a controversial new addition. The 725 shotgun has been infamous in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, at one point being overpowered to the point that skilled players could essentially use it as a sniper rifle of sorts. Infinity Ward has attempted to balance the 725 shotgun with a number of different updates and continues to tweak it occasionally.
Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how Call of Duty: Warzone fans react to the addition of the 725 shotgun in the game. The other weapons shouldn’t cause much of a stir, and will likely just please Warzone players who were wanting more guns for the game.
Meanwhile, it doesn’t appear as though the new Warzone update will be adding more team size options to the game. Dataminers have found evidence that more Warzone team size options are already in the game files, and it’s just a matter of them being implemented. Warzone players will have to be satisfied with playing trios as well as the Solo Mode that was added to the game last week.
It’s possible that the new Warzone update will surprise players and will include more team size options, but fans shouldn’t get their hopes up. Regardless, more information should become available with tomorrow’s patch notes.
Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
