So far, Activision itself has yet to acknowledge the issues people are having with it comes playing Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare online. It’s possible that the company just isn’t aware of the problem yet, or maybe it’s trying to figure out what’s wrong first. In any case, there are many disgruntled Call of Duty: Warzone players complaining about the issues online, with many of them running into the same error message: “Connection Failed - Unable to Access Online Services.”

If Activision does acknowledge the issues with Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare, fans shouldn’t expect the company to provide details as to what’s wrong. Usually whenever online gaming services go down, companies remain quiet on the reason why, and there’s no reason to assume that this will be any different. If the problems persist, however, fans can at least expect Activision to release a statement about it on social media and keep them updated until the problem is fixed.

Call of Duty: Warzone is generating significant buzz at the moment, and perhaps an influx of players is causing the connectivity issues. For the uninitiated, Call of Duty: Warzone finally opened its bunkers in the latest update, progressing one of the game’s main mysteries. It stands to reason that many players, including lapsed ones, have decided to jump into Warzone to explore these bunkers and hunt for secrets, especially since they may have huge implications for the future of the franchise.

The Call of Duty: Warzone bunkers are interesting because they hint at changes to the battle royale map, but they’re also interesting because fans think they are leading up to a reveal of Call of Duty 2020. Reports indicate that Call of Duty 2020 will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and that Warzone will be used to reveal it. Considering this, it’s no wonder Call of Duty fans are excited to search the Warzone battle royale map for more clues.

Unfortunately, the Call of Duty: Warzone server connectivity issues are keeping most players from doing that right now. We will update this post as soon as Activision confirms that the Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare server issues have been resolved.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
