Warzone fans are eagerly anticipating the coming December 10th update, which will bring the integration of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War content into Warzone. There is a lot of buzz about how this will affect the Warzone experience, and whether it will immediately introduce a new weapon meta to the game. As fans wait, they continue to drop into Verdansk, and on occasion, run into some unusual bugs while playing.

The Lumber area of the Verdansk map is made up of a couple of dreary, nondescript mills and storage facilities, but this little bug takes the industrial area and illuminates it, making it look like Santa’s village. For a change, the bug is not one that developer Infinity Ward would be able to fix. Unlike the infinite stim glitch, which the dev can patch out, something like holiday lights in the lumberyard is a rendering bug that a player has to sort out in their own computer settings. This bug has been around for a little while, with wild videos popping up on social media showing off what Warzone would look like if it were set in Tron, or a Christmas movie.
The bug does make the game a little difficult to deal with, as it can severely impact a player’s ability to see enemies, but it is mostly harmless. Usually, folks who encounter this bug are jazzed the map looks different, something many Warzone fans would like to see. The rumors of a new map in Warzone or at the very least, some substantial changes, continue to float around online. It should only be a matter of time before something big happens to Warzone’s map.
It is nice to see some festive color at this time of year, even if it is a graphical bug and shouldn’t be there. It is a nice distraction from the rampant Warzone cheaters who will not go away.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
