In a preview of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at E3 2019, Kotaku saw a scene where a Russian soldier apprehends a young girl and debates taking the girl to a commanding officer who “likes the young ones.” The publication was told that this line, which implies sexual abuse, will be removed from the game before it’s released on PC and consoles later this year. It’s unclear whether any other lines such as this will be taken out of the game before the final release....

Over the past few months, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has grown on fans. As such, many had hoped there would be a Season 7, though the extensive advertising for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War makes it seems highly unlikely that the Modern Warfare reboot breaks the yearly CoD cycle. While new leaks for extra guns and the return of beloved character Soap MacTavish gave fans hope, the game’s recent repurposing has all but killed that hope....

Players will be able to explore the All Hallow’s Eve content with their overpowered JAK-12 shotguns in tow, starting with classic modes like Domination and Kill Confirmed. Domination will see the addition of “scarecrows on Domination points instead of flags,” a clever redesign that adds to the game’s new Halloween theme. Reddit user aldo_rayne has offered to donate $100 to The Favela Foundation if Infinity Ward brings Favela to the new Modern Warfare game. aldo_rayne’s post has over 12,000 upvotes and over 140 comments at the time of this writing, indicating that there would be many Call of Duty players who would be willing to donate to charity to see this happen. The studio released several screenshots showing the graphical prowess of Infinite Warfare, but those looking to take a glimpse through the improved graphics of Modern Warfare Remastered didn’t have any comparative screenshots to base their expectations off of. Instead, the studio gave a quick glimpse between the old and new iterations of the game via video during its livestream, and we have to say the improvements show how graphics between 2007 and 2016 have grown by leaps and bounds....

The character in question is Captain Price, who most Call of Duty fans will know. While Modern Warfare’s campaign didn’t allow players to step into his shoes, he is featured heavily throughout the campaign, acting as a sort of mentor to other characters in the game. Reddit user Peakkz recently shared a clip of their driving around Call of Duty: Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah map on an ATV in which one of their allies is dead and about to be claimed by the encroaching gas. Having its own take on the battle royale storm that slowly closes and kills players that fail to reach the center quickly enough, Call of Duty: Warzone’s dead zone is riddled with gas that can be partially ignored by equipping a gas mask....

The PvPvE mode was rumored for several months and revealed shortly before Call of Duty: Warzone 2’s launch, and though there is certainly room to improve, it has gotten off to a strong start. In the reimagining of the Call of Duty: Warzone night map, there were several Easter Eggs hidden across the game. These references revolve around the two killers who had appeared in the in-game shop. While some references were fairly obvious, others required a little insight to fully understand. One of the most popular marketing strategies leading up to the launch of Modern Warfare was the usage of night time maps for multiplayer and the stellar campaign levels. These maps created an extra sense of urgency for the players, as every corner needed checking, and the sound design was also brought to the forefront. The official Call of Duty Twitter account announced that Tomogunchi Turbo items are available in the store today which allow players to, “Equip your operator with the most advanced digital wrist pet ever.” They ostensibly appear to be the same thing as the original Tomogunchi watches, which allowed players to hatch, grow, and evolve virtual pets by racking up killstreaks or completing objectives, but now with colorful graphics and a redesigned chassis....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare developer Joe Cecot confirmed on Twitter that at least one more tweak is coming to the 725 shotgun in an attempt to make the weapon better balanced. Cecot explained that the next tweak will attempt to do away with long shot kills with the weapon, which are not its intended purpose. That being said, the 725 shotgun will still be capable of killing enemies at a distance if they are already at low health - it just shouldn’t be capable of sniping players from across the map with a single hit anymore....

The trailer opens by revealing a few new details for Call of Duty: Warzone, namely that 4-man Squads for the game will be coming alongside Modern Warfare season 3, and it’ll even introduce a few new vehicles for the battle royale title as well. Fixes in the patch notes posted by Infinity Ward on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare subreddit included mostly minor fixes, patching up some exploits, bugs, and doing very little in terms of balancing change. But in terms of big overarching changes to the game, there wasn’t much there. In a post on Reddit, a user known as Benguinn shared a clip they recorded while playing Call of Duty: Vanguard. During a game of team deathmatch, the user had an encounter with a deadly door. The video started with the player making a nice play on an enemy outside of a building. After securing the kill with an STG44 assault rifle, Benguinn quickly went inside the structure. Moving swiftly through a dining room, they made their way to a kitchen area....

In addition, seasonal updates are another major factor in why Call of Duty: Vanguard continues to be popular, even in the wake of controversies like the misconduct allegations with Activision as well as the constant bugs and glitches impacting online experiences like Warzone. With season 1 coming to an end next week, Activision has outlined plans for Season 2, which bring new maps, weapons, and content to the shooter.
