A recent datamine of Modern Warfare on PC revealed that seemingly two more game modes have yet to be released. Apparently, the names of these modes are Gun Course, and Marksman Range. First released in 2007, Modern Warfare was something of a turning point for the Call of Duty franchise. As the subtitle suggests, it was the first installment to be set in the present day, which was a major factor in the way that mainstream audiences latched onto the series and made it such a hit. At the time of its release, audiences were tiring of shooters set in World War II — Modern Warfare flipped the script, and produced a legion of copycats in the process....

Specifically, Shoot House 24/7 has once again returned, replacing the Shoot the Ship playlist that was added to CoD: MW just last week. While Shoot House 24/7 has proven to be a very popular playlist among fans, and many will certainly be happy to have it back, some players are expressing disappointment with the quick removal of Shoot the Ship. For the uninitiated, the Shoot the Ship playlist rotates exclusively between the Shoot House and Shipment maps, and indeed this mix is something that certain players seem unhappy to be losing....

Activision recently confirmed many details about Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 4 which will see the arrival of a popular Call of Duty: WW2 map. Mercenaries of Fortune will bring with it other Vanguard content like new weapons, game modes, operators, and bundles, as well as the restoration of round-based Zombies with Shi No Numa. Beyond the aforementioned WW2 map, Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer fans will also get access to a second map after the Mercenaries of Fortune mid-season update....

It is worth noting that this is not the first time that Call of Duty: Vanguard’s dogs have bugged out. In the game’s beta, a clip saw an Attack Dog turn on its owner, killing the player that called it in rather than hunting some enemies. As for the latest Call of Duty: Vanguard glitch, it is directly tied to Attack Dog corpses. Once players have dealt with the threat of a hostile pooch, the canine’s body has the chance to morph into something that does not resemble a dog at all....

While Call of Duty: Vanguard adds a lot of things, it also brings back mechanics like mantling and tactical sprint. With such a good blend between old and new mechanics, it is a shame that one particular feature has been left in the past: a ping system. Despite being crucial to Call of Duty: Warzone and a huge quality of life feature for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Sledgehammer Games’ latest title does not allow players to ping enemies and items....

One of the most consistent complaints about Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer has been poor visibility. Since the beta, players have claimed that it was too hard to see their enemies due to fire effects and explosions, and while Sledgehammer made adjustments, other issues have appeared. The fact that both teams share Operators has been another point of controversy, as players have had a hard time telling friend from foe....

Prior to 2019’s reboot of the Modern Warfare subseries, map voting was an expected feature in each Call of Duty title. For those unfamiliar with the mechanic, it would see lobbies voting for a map while they wait for a match to begin. Not only did this give players something to do while they were waiting inside pre-game lobbies, but it also ensured that most gamers in the lobby could play on a map they enjoyed....

Unfortunately, the Call of Duty: Warzone nuke event was marred by technical issues. Server problems made it difficult for many Call of Duty: Warzone players to get into the game and see the nuke event for themselves. And since the Destruction of Verdansk - Part 1 was only available to Call of Duty: Warzone players for a limited time, it’s safe to say that there are people who completely missed out on the event....

Warzone’s first map, “Verdansk,” gave players a huge island battlefield, capable of hosting up to 150 players. Verdansk was filled with varied locations and environments, many of them quickly becoming some of the most memorable areas in all of Call of Duty. From the tall and icy heights of “Dam” to the always-chaotic winding streets of “Downtown,” Warzone players soon became very familiar with all of Verdansk’s various nooks and crannies....

However, even with Warzone 2’s release date approaching, fans are still looking for more information on the battle royale. There have been some discoveries made through Easter eggs and leaks, such as a potential look at the new Las Almas map for Warzone 2, which appeared in the campaign for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and its multiplayer. However, there is still plenty that Activision has left to show about its latest battle royale, including what the new DMZ game mode looks like....

Obtaining a nuke in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is no easy feat. A player must win five matches in a row, then complete a strenuous Champion’s Quest contract in the next match in order to acquire a precious nuke. After the bomb is armed, players have an even harder task, as they need to defend it, since all other players are alerted to stop the nuclear explosion before it occurs....

Official details on Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and what exactly it will entail are unavailable at the time of this writing, but we do know that Infinity Ward is developing it alongside Modern Warfare 2. More details should come on September 15 at the Call of Duty: Next event, as that’s when fans have been promised a glimpse at the future of Warzone. In comparison to Caldera, which was heavily criticized prior to the addition of things like the redeployment balloons, Al Mazrah has been well received by the community. Not only does it have a few interesting cities for players to explore, as well as memorable points of interest like some caves, but it provides a desert setting that is completely fresh for Call of Duty: Warzone. Whenever the next map arrives, it should continue to prioritize variety by taking players to a snowy locale....

Call of Duty: Warzone players have previously found other other exploits to bring supplies when they first drop into Verdansk. While players hadn’t been able to carry weapons over from the pre-match, some have figured out how to bring money and armor that they collected beforehand into the main game in another Warzone exploit. However, players have recently discovered how to essentially choose the weapons that they start the game with during pre-match play....

The main Call of Duty: Warzone map covers a large expanse of ground, meaning that it may be hard for players to locate or track other players around Verdansk. Due to this difficulty, the Spotter Scope was introduced to the game. The tactical equipment works similarly the binoculars and allows players to ping their opponents from far away, but it glitched to ping enemies in a more significant way....

Although short, there are some pretty major takeaways. Obviously, there’s the logo and a flash of Task Force 141, which is no doubt exciting for fans. Many were also quick to notice a set of coordinates in the background, and internet sleuths wasted no time looking into them.
