While the nerfs usually take away the beloved power of player’s favorite guns, it also marks a time for new Modern Warfare weapons to rise to the top and earn a spot in players’ number one load out. Many guns that initially receive buffs, which improve the performance of the weapon, are later nerfed by Infinity Ward due to fans circulating their opinions to the developer....

In the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Community Update, Infinity Ward teases a mysterious update that it’s been working on for the game. The perk should be used as a strategy for stealthy players, but it appears the perk has not been working as intended. The Operator in question is named Arthur Kingsley, and he’s one of Call of Duty: Vanguard’s four protagonists. He’s also being advertised as a pre-order/pre-purchase bonus ahead of Call of Duty: Vanguard’s release in November. Pre-ordering Call of Duty: Vanguard is supposed to unlock the Operator for both Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone as a playable character. However, now that Call of Duty fans are pre-ordering Vanguard, Operator Kingsley is nowhere to be found....

While some Call of Duty: Vanguard killstreaks cause visual issues or backfire on their users, the Flamenaut’s biggest strength is that players in the suit are so tough to take down. While the flamethrower equipped when using the armored suit does require players to get up close, the Juggernaut suit provides so much protection that it does not really matter. Further, it is hard to tell when someone in the Flamenaut suit is low on health, so players may avoid shooting it completely and just run away instead....

Call of Duty: Vanguard on Xbox in particular has been having issues, with players encountering bizarre graphical defects while playing the game. Developer Sledgehammer Games has been quick to address these concerns, having figured out exactly what’s causing it. Apparently, playing the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta on Xbox with 120Hz enabled is causing the graphical defects, so if players drop things down to 60Hz, they shouldn’t have these issues....

Wonder Weapons have been integral to the Call of Duty Zombies experience since its inception. During a match, players can purchase various items from Buy Stations scattered across the Verdansk map. These supplies include Self-Revive Kits, Redeployment Tokens, and a support item called the UAV. Using the UAV normally reveals a small portion of the surrounding map along with any enemies in the vicinity. The Gas Mask is a piece of equipment that can be picked up or purchased in both Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Warzone 2. The Gas Mask, once equipped, will allow the player to survive in the gas, Warzone’s deadly outer zone, for 10 seconds without taking any damage. The issue players have with the Gas Mask is that it is automatically used when the player goes into the gas, resulting in an animation that interrupts and has issues being canceled....

In August, Raven Software announced a new PC anti-cheat system for Call of Duty: Warzone, although not much information was provided about what players could expect or how it would work. But additional details will be made available in the weeks preceding the release of the 18th game in the series, Call of Duty: Vanguard, on November 5. While it may seem like Raven and Activision aren’t being active enough in thwarting cheaters, Charlie Intel estimated that by August 2021 a total of roughly 800,000 Warzone accounts had been banned for cheating....

S0ur has discovered that the bunker locations on the Warzone map correspond with 11 “Classified” areas found on Activision’s Tac Map for the game. S0ur then used “inspect elements” to dig through the Tac Map’s info, and discovered that the bunkers have their own loot stats. More specifically, they are all marked at 120% loot, which would mean that they have better loot than any other place on the map....

Like the previous Call of Duty 2020 teases, the code and location of the latest Warzone bunker was given away online in a historical video, this one covering the presidency of Richard Nixon. By the time the video was over, Warzone fans knew to travel to location H8 on the battle royale map, which is right near the Prison area. One of the only buildings at this location is a shack with a locked door, and now fans have the code to open it....

According to Raven Software, there are four big changes coming to Call of Duty: Warzone soon. One of the headlining changes is an adjustment to the Roze skin, which is notorious for how it’s used by players to hide in the dark and get an unfair advantage. Raven Software also plans on making balance changes to the Tac Rifle Charlie, M16, FFAR 1, and the recently-added Sykov pistol as well....

It isn’t a true week in Warzone without something going wrong. Some bugs and glitches are more minor or confined, like certain pillars making players invisible but only in select areas of the map. Family sharing allows Steam users to share their gaming library with up to 10 friends. While only one person can play a game at a time, the feature let users earn Steam achievements and play each game as if it was part of their own library. Valve does not disclose how many users are utilizing family sharing, but Steam recently reached a new all-time high for concurrent users of over 30 million players, giving Steam gamers plenty of opportunities to engage in sharing opportunities with friends and family....

The leak has some major new information about Modern Warfare’s battle royale mode, if it proves accurate. For example, the battle royale mode supposedly features a 200-player cap, making it one of the largest battle royale modes ever made. The map, fittingly, is huge. It includes within it all of the maps for Spec Ops Operations and Ground Wars. All in all, it’s about three times as large as Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’s Blackout battle royale map....

On both the Modern Warfare subreddit and forums, players are reporting an inability to earn XP during multiplayer matches. This is not a widespread issue in that it occurs all the time, but it happens frequently enough and for enough players that the online community is discussing the issue. As of this writing, developer Infinity Ward has yet to address the issue, but given the holiday timing, it’s possible that a response might not arrive until early next week....

Making progress in Modern Warfare involves leveling up to unlock weapons then leveling each weapon to unlock attachments. Getting cosmetics for each weapon is even more complicated, requiring players to complete challenges by getting kills under various sets of conditions. Usually, the best way to complete these requirements is to load up a playlist of small maps and run around focusing on each given challenge.
