The battle royale genre is saturated and many titles are struggling to dominate the growing market. However, Warzone has managed to seamlessly capture the large fan base of the Call of Duty games. Despite a large player base, the game has run into issues and glitches are not rare in Warzone. A recent glitch was shared by a Reddit user that exposed series issues with the textures in the game that Infinity Ward will need to fix if they want to keep the game competitive....

The Shipment map was updated for Modern Warfare 2, making it an even more chaotic map than ever before. Various cargo containers are scattered throughout the map, narrowing down sight lines and creating a zone of constant gunfights in the center. However, the revamped Shipment map was not free of bugs and issues in Modern Warfare 2. For some time, a bug caused teams to spawn inside a cargo container, allowing the enemy team to spawn trap players for the entire match duration....

Despite some severe glitches, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has had a successful launch. Its first Battle Pass season was even extended to fully release all the new content and allow its players more time to unlock the rewards. However, fans are currently concerned that this success will not translate to the upcoming Battle Royale mode. Earlier this week, Infinity Ward released a brand new updated for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which brought an influx of new content to players including the newly reimagined map, Shipment. Originally from Call of Duty 4, this map adds a bit more verticality than longtime fans may remember. However, as one Redditor highlights, the spawn system on this map is much more broken than it is on other maps and ultimately making the game’s camping issue even more severe....

While the Call of Duty store refreshes daily with vaulted bundles that players can purchase, Infinity Ward has been delivering new Modern Warfare bundles on a weekly basis. The store features 20 different packs available on any given day, but with an average of two new bundles coming every week and the daily rotation of many previously released packs, there is almost always something new available to players with COD points to spend....

One thing Warzone will indubitably do as it enters the battle royale market is try to leave its own bootprint. Given that the battle royale genre has a certain formula, games within that genre often provide unique elements in order to stand out from its competition. Apex Legends, for example, combines the battle royale genre with hero shooter elements, Fortnite has its building element, and Blackout was among the first to introduce PvE enemies like zombies, as well as a splitscreen co-op mode (which Fortnite later copied, like it recently did Apex)....

Prior to releasing Modern Warfare Season 2, Activision and Infinity Ward released a road map detailing what would be available on February 11, and what would be added to the game later in the season. However, it’s been confirmed that not all of the promised Day One content actually made it to the game with the huge February 11 update, so fans will have to wait a little bit longer to get their hands on everything....

Among the explosions, music, and train scenes the trailer confirmed several new Modern Warfare multiplayer maps for fans to enjoy. Two new 6v6 maps, one new Ground War map, and much more were revealed in the trailer. Players now have some epic content to look forward too upon the launch of Season 5 on August 5th. Many modern fighting games have a rematch option where players can decide if they want to fight the same opponent again or search for a new one. This way if a fight is particularly close, players can have a chance to redeem themselves. It also lets players test their skill against challenging opponents and potentially become better at the game by fighting a superior opponent repeatedly. Having a similar feature would only enhance the Modern Warfare Gunfight experience, giving players more options than they have currently....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Update 1.08 is a 3.4GB download on PS4 and Xbox One, and an 8GB download on PC. Unlike Update 1.07, it doesn’t add any significant new content to the game, but it does make some important fixes and balance changes that will likely be appreciated by fans regardless. Some of the most notable changes include additional stability improvements so the game shouldn’t crash quite as much as it has been for some players, as well as footstep adjustments so the “walk” footstep sounds play when aiming down sighs, crouching, and when moving slowly....

The series is returning once again to the Call of Duty’s World War 2 roots. The short reveal trailer informs players of the 5 game modes that will be made available in the game’s beta. Among those game modes are the returning staples of Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Kill Confirmed. In addition, the newest Call of Duty entry is adding two new modes in the form of Champion’s Hill and Patrol....

There are a lot of things for fans of the series to look forward to in Call of Duty: Vanguard, from the single-player campaign to the return of Zombies. Now a new trailer has arrived explicitly to show off the game’s multiplayer. The Call of Duty: Vanguard trophies can be separated into three distinct categories. The bulk of the trophies are focused on the Call of Duty: Vanguard Campaign, rewarding players for completing specific tasks in the missions beating it on the ultra-tough Veteran difficulty. The Forward Intel perk allows Call of Duty: Vanguard players to see indicators when enemies spawn back in after being killed. While JGOD points out that a similar perk was introduced in Call of Duty: WW2, but provided no major advantage, this version is unlikely to be an afterthought. In fact, JGOD believes it is “broken,” with the perk being one of the most underrated abilities in the game. This is because of its other effect, which widens the map....

It previously looked like Modern Warfare 2 would break this trend, as its download size is relatively small. The base game takes just 35 GB of storage space, but users will have to install various packs for each of its gameplay modes. There are two packs for MW2’s campaign that require approximately 16.7 GB in total, with more space needed for multiplayer and Special Ops co-op mode. However, it looks like MW2 may continue to get large patches as Infinity Ward has already released an update with a massive download size....

It seems that this bug affects Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as well as Warzone, and is stopping many from playing together. If it was just a visual mistake most players probably wouldn’t care, but the effect it has on playing with friends is undeniable and detrimental to the game’s cooperative experience.
