One thing worth keeping in mind about camo challenges in Call of Duty is the fact that players have to unlock the objectives by leveling up their guns. As such, the first step of the process will see players needing to use each weapon often, doing their best to work on whatever challenges they can as they go. With this year’s Gunsmith being so in-depth, this could take a while – though it is far from the hardest part of the process....

Call of Duty: Vanguard revealed Champion Hill alongside the announcement of the PlayStation exclusive Alpha test, and the mode certainly looks like an interesting change from what Call of Duty players are used to. Call of Duty: Vanguard’s equivalent of Ground War or Multi-Team, this large-scale mode will provide a different experience from traditional multiplayer. There was a lot of uncertainty regarding the future of Call of Duty on PlayStation due to Microsoft’s recent acquisition of Activision Blizzard. While the deal does not get completed until 2023, many fans believed it marked the end of Call of Duty on PlayStation consoles. A new report suggested that Activision will release the next three Call of Duty games on PlayStation, and now a trusted leaker has revealed more information regarding the release platforms for a supposed sequel to Warzone....

Call of Duty: Warzone’s Plunder game mode proves that alternate win conditions can work well inside a battle royale setting, and another new game mode will soon be introduced that embraces this concept. Exfiltration will see players fighting for control over a radio, with the goal being to hold onto the device for a set amount of time. If held for long enough, the Operator with the radio will call in the exfil chopper, instantly winning the match....

Raven Software has released a new Call of Duty: Warzone update that looks to better-balance the game by nerfing its most overpowered weapons. First and foremost, the Call of Duty: Warzone DMR has been nerfed so that headshot damage has been reduced and the gun has increased recoil. This should go a long way in making the DMR a much less overpowered gun in Call of Duty: Warzone, though the jury is still out as to whether or not the nerf goes far enough....

It can be assumed that the Seasons featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be comparable to those included in the other modern Call of Duty games, focusing more on an evolving story and new Operators as opposed to a specific theme. However, it could be argued that a dedicated theme was recently tested within Call of Duty: Vangurd and Call of Duty: Warzone, and embracing the approach could lead to some interesting gameplay updates alongside unlockable cosmetics....

It’s been revealed that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 5 update will be about 36 GB. However, after downloading the update, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare file size will actually be smaller than it was before. This is because Infinity Ward is using the update to optimize some of the game’s assets, allowing it to take up less space. In any case, 36 GB is still quite large, but at least some players are able to pre-load this time around....

On Reddit, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare player Damo240sx revealed their reward for completing the Battle Pass in the game: an animated emblem. The emblem mimics the design of the Battle Pass for Season 1, which depicts a Grim Reaper-looking character lifting a sword into the air. But unlock most emblems, this Battle Pass reward has an animated element that features a flashing background and the Grim Reaper thrusting the sword into the air....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has retained first place in two areas. First, it has been reported that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is the best-selling game in terms of year-to-date, from March 2019 to March 2020. Second, the game is apparently the best-selling game of 2020 so far. Previously, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare had been the best-selling game of February 2020. It continued to perform well through March....

However, one thing that shouyldn’t be too surprising to Call of Duty fans is more timed PlayStation exclusive content. For those picking up Call of Duty: Vanguard on PlayStation platforms, they’ll have a few additional things to look forward to. This continues the longstanding partnership between Sony and Activision which started back in 2015 with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 when in years prior, it was Xbox getting the timed exclusive content first....

Sledgehammer Games is currently working on a rather serious problem that the game has had since launch, as many Call of Duty: Vanguard players have had issues with where they spawn. The developer noted that it wanted spawns to feel less random, as many players felt that they often appeared too close to enemy players, which put them at a disadvantage. The company followed this up with a survey to allow players to give feedback about how they felt about the new spawn system, as it was only implemented in a selected playlist for the time being....

The argument shared by Redditor ian2345 states that the game is set in 1945 towards the end of World War 2, when many soldiers would have been suffering from hearing damage because of the lack of ear protection on the battlefield. That’s certainly one explanation for the consistent audio issues that have plagued beta players, making it difficult to identify muffled footsteps and even gunshots. Call of Duty: Vanguard has promised to fix these issues, hopefully during the beta, but Sledgehammer Games hasn’t made many concrete statements about the audio problems....

Specifically, Call of Duty: Vanguard has got a number of Zombies-specific weapon camouflages that take quite a bit of effort for players to unlock, and the very pinnacle of this list - Dark Aether - currently seems to be entirely impossible to attain. The issue lies in the fact that unlocking Dark Aether depends entirely on unlocking lower-tier camos before it, and those seem to be bugged at this time....

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies’ reveal trailer features some interesting things, like demons and the iconic map Shi No Numa. However, for those who paid attention to the first footage of Der Anfang or checked out the deep dives into this Zombies mode, it will have become apparent that Treyarch is doing something entirely new. Players will not be playing a round-based map on launch day, something that could turn out to be good or bad for Call of Duty: Vanguard....

Although Der Anfang matches take a round-based approach, they can still last for quite a while, which has made the absence of a pause feature increasingly frustrating for gamers. Call of Duty Zombies matches have a history of taking a long time, forcing players to have someone babysit a crawler if they had to do something else in real life, such as use the bathroom. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies added a server pause and created a massive quality of life enhancement as a result....

Call of Duty: Zombies was first introduced in 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War from developer Treyarch as a cooperative mini-game pitting four players against endless waves of zombies. It became a regular mode in Treyarch’s subsequent Call of Duty games with various narratives, the most prevalent telling the story of a ragtag team of World War 2 soldiers trying to stop the zombie apocalypse. Sledgehammer Games also dabbled with Zombies in its own Call of Duty games, making Infinity Ward the only series developer to not feature the mode in its own Call of Duty entries....

Similarly to trophy systems or deployable cover, the Spotter Scope in Call of Duty: Warzone takes up the equipment slot and is found in chests around Verdansk. Once players have the Spotter Scope in their possession, they can use it to spy on enemies from afar without having to worry about the glint that comes with aiming with sniper scopes. The Spotter Scope can also mark enemy players, so it helps out the entire squad....
